What’s been going on at SARCRAFT over the past month? Read on!
- Construction is still underway! Even though the weather has thrown near-zero temps, (more) snow, and freezing rain at us, we are continuing to press forward to our goal. We are in the process of finally going vertical with the pavilion, and our Adirondack is growing closer to completion every day as well. In addition to building, we’ve also cleared out almost two dozen trailer loads of brush and split about ten full-sized trees into firewood.
- Where’s the SARCRAFT Blog? Some of our more dedicated followers have pointed out the conspicuous lack of blog posts since December. Well, you’re right. And there’s a reason for it. A few, actually. One is that we’ve been so consumed with clearing brush, processing firewood, and building structures that we just haven’t had time, at least not the way we used to do it. But the main reason is that we’re totally overhauling how we create content in order to deliver better, more relevant material to you. We’re in the process of doing a lot of filming for our upcoming YouTube channel, and the new and improved SARCRAFT Blog will launch at around the same time. We haven’t forgotten about it – we just want to make it even better.
- We’ve got some of our most popular courses coming up, as well as a few new topics. We have Wilderness Water Essentials on February 10th, and we are offering the ever-popular Firecraft Essentials on March 10th. If you’ve missed any of these two out of your Core Four, this is your chance to catch up. For all you Sunday Afternoon Bushcraft junkies, we’ve got a brand new-one for your consideration: the Try Stick. You’ll learn a myriad of techniques for notching, carving, and other woodcraft techniques that are relevant to building shelters, traps, camp furniture, and much more. If you want a back-to-basics, hands-on bushcraft course where you get to use your knife a lot, this one’s for you. Check it and the rest of our upcoming courses out here: https://www.sarcraft.com/course-schedule/
We hope your 2018 has been as productive and full of growth as ours has been so far. Best wishes and we hope to see you soon!
