This stout blade is Condor’s shortened version of a classic Indonesian Golok. Bigger than a knife, but not quite a machete, the Pack Golok fits nicely between the two. It’s small enough to use for “knife tasks” like carving, notching, batoning, processing tinder, or striking fires with its 90-degree spine. But it’s also big enough to use for “machete stuff” like cutting down small trees, clearing brush, or splitting wood with its convex-grind 1075 carbon steel blade. This knife excels when combined in a kit with a neck knife or small backup belt knife. If you want a do-all blade that can handle whatever you throw at it, the Pack Golok is a great choice.
