Come join us every other Sunday afternoon for an educational, affordable bushcraft clinic. We’ll cover a different wilderness skills topic every class – it may range across the spectrum from basics like firecraft and water procurement to projects such as tool and container carving. Every session will have a hands-on portion where you’ll have a chance to work on a project and build your skills, and free time where you can practice a skill of your choosing. You’ll be able to work with our wide range of woodland tools and resources, while being guided by our instructors to ensure that you learn these skills the right way, every time. The topics we cover will be announced on the registration page and social media at the beginning of the month. This is a family-friendly event and kids are always welcome. Bring a picnic lunch and come prepared to spend the afternoon!

9/27 - Sunday Afternoon Bushcraft: Outdoor Knives

The knife. It's one of the oldest tools devised by the human mind. Your knife is the key that unlocks the door to self-reliance, safety, and success in the woods. It can be used to secure every survival priority - fire, food, water purification, self-defense, and more.

With that knowledge in mind, choosing the right knife, learning how to use it safely and effectively, and taking proper care of it should be among your highest priorities before you venture into the wild. Come learn how to to do just that at our next Sunday Afternoon Bushcraft.

You'll learn about the different types of blade grinds and where they excel, fixed vs. folder, different types of steel and their advantages, the difference between survival knives vs. bushcraft knives vs. fighting knives, and much more.

More importantly, you'll get hands-on training on knife safety, how to properly sharpen and care for all of your blades (including kitchen knives!), and how to modify your blade to unlock its full potential.

As a thank-you for attending, our entire range of Instructor Corps-approved knives will be discounted 10% for course attendees!

This has historically been our most popular Sunday Afternoon Bushcraft and will fill up quickly, so reserve your spot now!
